Things To Do in Jackson Hole
We can't thank you enough for making the long trip to Wyoming for our wedding. We feel so fortunate to live in Jackson and hope each of you will fall equally in love with this magical place we now call home.
We want you to experience as much of this special place as possible during your time here. We have put together a guide to some of our favorite places and things to do. Please do not hesitate to reach out and ask us questions or advice on where to go or what to see.
For a great list of things to do, please visit The Clear Creek Group's Winter Activities Page. In addition, here are a few of our winter favorites:
Snow King Resort Activities: Snow King was the first ski resort in Jackson Hole, dating back to the 1920's. Not only does the "town hill" still offer skiing, night skiing and terrific views of town, it's a great place for tubing and ice climbing.
While you're in town, stop by the WRJ Home Showroom where our good friend Emily works.
Head into Grand Teton National Park and snowshoe to Taggart Lake, it's an easy route and the views are worth it! Stop at a local sporting goods store to rent cross country skis or snowshoes and make your way to Taggert for some of the most breathtaking views (approximately 3 miles roundtrip).
Skiing/Snowboarding
We are lucky enough to live right by the #1 Ski Resort in North America. We encourage you to hit the slopes, take a lesson or just visit Teton Village to take it all in. Even if you're not skiing, bundle up, take the tram up to the top of the mountain and check out the amazing view. Also, you'll find Corbett's Cabin up top, where you can warm up and experience one of their famous waffles! You can also take the gondola up (about half way up the mountain) for happy hour or dinner at The Couloir Restaurant (where Alex and Kendra - Nick's brother and sister-in-law - got married!).
Dining
Breakfast/ Lunch:
Persephone Bakery: (In Town) 307-200-6708 - Amazing selection of pastries, scones and other treats. Great salads and sandwiches too.
Nora's Fish Creek Inn: (Wilson) 307-733-8288 - Staple breakfast spot in Jackson Hole; amazing huevos rancheros and bacon!
Picnic: (In Town) 307-264-2956 - Persephone's new sister bakery and restaurant. Great salads and "toasts."
Lunch/Dinner:
Snake River Grill: (In Town) 307-733-0557 - The best restaurant in Jackson. Reservations recommended. We have spent many nights sitting at the bar sharing a steak tartare pizza (one of their specialties) and dessert. We also came here the night we got engaged!
Snake River Brewing: (In Town) 307-739-2337 - Aka: The Brew Pub, great place for a Snake River beer and pizza. Try the "Sampler" for a small tasting of all their latest beers on tap. Say hello to our good friends John and Cam who are both brewers there. And if you happen to see a mug hanging from the ceiling with Justin Timberlake's face on, it's Alexandra's!
Bin 22: (In Town) 307-739-9463 - A town favorite for wine, beer and delicious Italian/Spanish plates and appetizers. Also a wine shop.
Street Food at the Stagecoach: (Wilson) 307-200-6633 - Great place for a quick bite, delicious gyros and tacos. Located in an old saloon style bar..not fancy but good food!
The Rendezvous Bistro: (In Town) 307-739-1100 - French/American cuisine - one of our favorite spots in town.
Mangy Moose: (Teton Village) 307-733-4913 - A Jackson Hole apres-ski tradition since 1967. The Mangy Moose has fun live music and has been voted the best apres-ski bar in the US.
Teton Thai: (Teton Village) 307-733-0022 - Definitely the best Thai food in Jackson Hole. They don't take reservations but it's worth a wait, and if the grandmother is cooking, be sure not to order your food too spicy!
Weather
It will be quite cold during your visit and we can assure you there will be plenty of snow! Pack your warmest layers and coats, snow boots, hats, gloves, etc. Even if you don't plan to ski, ski pants/attire will come in handy.
